Footsteps of St Patrick: Discipleship

Step into a powerful one‑hour formation experience that explores what it truly means to follow Christ in the spirit of St Patrick. This workshop invites staff to see discipleship not as perfection, but as a lifelong apprenticeship shaped by learning, imitation, courage, and trust. Through Scripture, reflection, multimedia, and the story of St Patrick’s gradual formation, participants are encouraged to recognise how God equips the willing — not the already‑qualified.

Grounded in Laudato Si’ and Laudate Deum, this session highlights witness, stewardship, and service as essential expressions of discipleship in Catholic education. Teachers are guided to reflect on their own experiences of being called, stretched, and strengthened, and to consider how their daily work bears the marks of compassion, courage, and Gospel hope.

With a facilitator guide, slide deck, and implementation notes, this resource equips schools to lead staff into a meaningful encounter with Christ and into deeper commitment to their shared mission.

There is a significant amount of material included within each slide deck and facilitator guide, and you may need to adjust the material presented to suit the time available for your school’s context. The slide deck contains required visual content, embedded media, Scripture, prayer, and formation prompts that support the integrity and consistency of the PL program. Each part of the prepared presentation is intentionally aligned with the Faith Formation Framework and the Accreditation criteria. Please ensure that each session is delivered for the required duration to meet accreditation purposes.
