World Youth Day is a unique opportunity for young people to deepen their faith, form lasting friendships, and join millions of pilgrims from around the world in celebrating the Catholic faith.
In August 2027, students from Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools will have the opportunity to travel to Seoul, South Korea, to participate in this life-changing pilgrimage alongside Archbishop Comensoli and pilgrims from across the Archdiocese of Melbourne.

Step 1
Download and read the Student Application Pack.
Step 2
Discuss the pilgrimage opportunity with your parent(s) or guardian(s) and ensure you understand the commitments involved.
Step 3
Complete the online application form with the support of your Referee teacher
As part of your application, you will be asked to share:
- Your faith journey and experiences
- Your involvement in school, parish or community life
- Why you would like to participate in World Youth Day
- How you believe this pilgrimage will contribute to your personal faith, leadership and growth
Step 4
Submit your application before the closing date.
Your nominated Referee Teacher will then be contacted separately to complete an endorsement.

We encourage students to begin their application early to allow sufficient time to read the materials, discuss the opportunity with family, and thoughtfully prepare their responses.
