Sustainable Development Goals

What are the Sustainable Development Goals?

In September 2015, 193 world leaders agreed to 17 Global Goals for Sustainable Development. If these Goals are completed, it would mean an end to extreme poverty, inequality and climate change by 2030.  So what are they?

  1. No Poverty
  2. Zero Hunger
  3. Good Health & Well-being
  4. Quality Education
  5. Gender Equality
  6. Clean Water & Sanitation
  7. Affordable & Clean Energy
  8. Decent Work & Economic Growth
  9. Industry, Innovation & Infrastructure
  10. Reduced Inequalities
  11. Sustainable Cities and Communities
  12. Responsible Consumption & Production
  13. Climate Action
  14. Life Below Water
  15. Life on Land
  16. Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions
  17. Partnerships for the Goals

Act: Leave No One Behind

At the heart of the Sustainable Development Goals is a commitment to leave no one behind. That’s because, although we have made huge progress towards a better world, too many people have been left behind because of who they are or where they live.

Act: What do you really, really want?

In 2015 world leaders promised to put girls and women first when they signed up to the Sustainable Development Goals.  Reflect on how Global Goals has put together their challenge for us.
